New Samsung E840

Samsung is staying true to its unique and creative designs with the release of the Samsung SGH-E840 over in Southeast Asia. The E840 is or actually will be one of the slimmest sliders to be released with a frame that measures in around 10.6 mm. The E840 will also have a touch keypad that will remain hidden until the phone is slid up to reveal it, which is typical of all sliders but I guess this one is "special"? The specs on the phone include quadband GSM, Edge radio, a 2 megapixel camera and is rumored to have up to 2gb of expansion memory storage.
The overall look of the phone is a sign that shows Samsung's attempt to target individuals who are highly attracted to very elegant cellphones, which isnt a bad thing at all since cell phones make up about 99% of our lives, why shouldn't have one that makes a statement.

Samsung has plans for USB / Antenna combo.

Pictures have surfaced on the web that are indicating that Samsung is in the process of developing a phone that will use both a mini-usb and an external antenna in the same housing. This will eliminate the frustration that many of us endure when trying to find a compatible cable that will work with our phone and will also be a great selling point for Samsung if and when they do release the product. From the pictures shown, it seems as if the mini-usb plug will act as the antenna as well, now whether this will play against the actual antenna or not is debatable but I highly doubt Samsung would release a product that will harm them rather then benefit them. We’ll have to wait and see for the actual pictures to be released but I do hope this is something that will take off.

Samsung UPSTAGE in RED?

It seems as though the trend these days is to release a phone in about 50 different colors. We all saw this with the LG chocolate which was released in every color under the sun. Samsung, not to be outdone by LG, has released the Sprint Samsung Upstage in red, which isn't bad looking at all. The phone itself will remain unchanged and we won't see any major differences so do expect the same two-sided music player with stereo bluetooth and high speed EVDO data. The Samsung Upstage red should still be priced fairly close to the orginal Upstage so don't expect a huge increase in price. Check back at AccessoryGeeks.com for all accessories for the Samsung Upstage.

Samsung collaborates with Jasper Morrison

In an effort to give their phones more "appeal" Samsung has recently introduced the E590 which is a result of their collaboration with famous industrial designer Jasper Morrison. The E590 isn't a phone that is highly attractive, but it does contain simple contours and clean lines. The E590 is a dual sided phone, meaning each side of the phone holds its own unique features, the front is the basic keypad and LCD layout while the back incorporates a powerful 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus and half-shutter. The only problem with the E590 is that it won't be released in the Us and will only be available in Europe, China and South East Asia. Hopefully AccessoryGeeks.com will stock up on universal accessories for this exclusive phone so please do check back.
